During the financial aid disbursement process, Charge Priorities are values that determine which charges are covered on students’ accounts and the order in which the charges are paid. A default Charge Priority value is setup for each Financial Aid Item Type (FAIT). If applicable, a FAIT’s default Charge Priority can be changed when entering a financial aid award.
Note: This document lists the Charge Priorities awarding offices should use for merit-based awards. It excludes those used only by the School of Nursing. Refer to the All Charge Priority Values for a list of all Charge Priorities.
